Aydın Buluç

Brief Biography

Aydin Buluc received his BS in Computer Science and Engineering from Sabanci University, Istanbul, Turkey in 2005. He is currently working towards the Ph.D. degree in the Computer Science Department at the University of California, Santa Barbara. His current research interests are parallel computing, combinatorial scientific computing and sparse matrix computations. He is a student member of the SIAM and the ACM. In 2008, he spent a semester at the Mathematics Department of MIT, and a summer at the CSRI institute of Sandia National Labs, in New Mexico. Previously, he interned at Citrix Online and Garanti Technology, as a software engineer. His prospective PhD graduation date is Spring 2010.
